Keeping Children Safer
Whether you are a school, daycare, church, youth program, or another organization that works with children, your number one priority is the safety and well-being of the children entrusted to you. Traditional background checks are an important part of the screening process, but they have limitations. A background check cannot reveal conduct that has never been reported, investigated, charged. They also can't tell you if someone has an attraction to children but just hasn't had the opportunity yet to act on it.
A single incident involving the abuse, exploitation, or endangerment of a child can cause lifelong trauma for the child and have devastating consequences for the families, employees, and organization involved. It can also seriously damage an organization's reputation, credibility, and ability to continue its mission.
